About the Artwork:As an artist with personal proximity to feline creatures, Lintang Diani generates her visual artworks with cats as its main object. Lintang Diani states that cats have strong characteristics, cats are known for their adorability, how they’re active and docile and yet still mysterious and unpredictable. Those unique traits attract Lintang to express it through her creativity and imagination in her artworks with multiple techniques such as acrylic, paper collage, charcoal, hard and oil pastel, marker, chinese ink, and pencil glass. Lintang’s own visualisation leans towards naive composition where she can freely form shapes and lines that are not entirely attached to the object’s original form. Lintang’s artworks are also created intuitively and expressively.
