Empat Tanaman Kesadaran (The Four Plants of Consciousness)

Description: Humans consist of four senses of consciousness, their dreams, their minds, their feelings, and their actions. These four elements that make one human are seen as plants by Oscar Artunes and delivered by his artwork titled ‘The Four Plants of Consciousness’.

El juguete de la niña

Description: This work puts in dialogue the existential dimension of the human being in front of the objects “eternals”. The portrait is posed as an ambiguous body, between a presence extreme on the red background, and the vibrant scribble composed of an exultant synthesis of cilia that surround it. The cilia integrated into the doodle act as a system ornament of life, like a child's dress. This body, deformed and dissolved like a psychic monster, is the one that supports the pre-Columbian figure, which stands out, almost three-dimensionally, as an icon of eternity, of incorruptible chemical synthesis, therefore, object of devotion.

Description: The feeling of caring and the urge to be concerned came from the act of listening- is what Oscar Artunes tries to visualise with this watercolour painting of hands, ear, humans, in a white and blue horizon. The ear represents what it takes to listen, the hands are the tools used to offer care, and the presence of both plays a large part in humanity.

Black Hephaestus

Description: This is Black Hephaestus, a black God in charge of inventions and technology.

Black and White

Description: As an artist with personal proximity to feline creatures, Lintang Diani generates her visual artworks with cats as its main object. Lintang Diani states that cats have strong characteristics, cats are known for their adorability, how they’re active and docile and yet still mysterious and unpredictable. Those unique traits attract Lintang to express it through her creativity and imagination in her artworks with multiple techniques such as acrylic, paper collage, charcoal, hard and oil pastel, marker, chinese ink, and pencil glass. Lintang’s own visualisation leans towards naive composition where she can freely form shapes and lines that are not entirely attached to the object’s original form. Lintang’s artworks are also created intuitively and expressively.

Description: This story is about how Camels store water in their humps and that most people ignore. Bongo is a word in my native language that means hump. Because of something as simple as a hump on its back, it can go for months without drinking water. We in most cases tend to be afraid of the simple things that make us seem a little different from the rest when that could be one thing we can not do without
